I may not talk, but I count like a genius

Alex again is excelling with his memory and understanding of numbers. He started counting to 100 in multiples of 10 awhile ago. Just the other day, he counted to 100, then counted backwards, in multiples of 10! He was also attempting to count all numbers on the way to 100!! He's understanding the concept and blowing us away. We still can't get him to tell us how his day was but I may not need a calculator in the future!!!

Valentine's Day or Christmas in Feb.??

So Valentine's Day came and went and, wow, did our boys fair well!! We had bought Wii Sports Resort to give to Adam at some future date and Daddy decided that since we were leaving for a few days, this would be the best time. Of course, we had to do something fun for Alex, too - he's not quite into Wii, though he loves to watch the rest of us play. Alex has been into Winnie the Pooh and having stuffed animals in his bed so I had a great idea. Daddy went to the airport to pick up Gramma Eloe the day before Valentine's Day. I mentioned, "why don't you stop by the mall, go into the Disney store and get a couple of stuffed animals for Alex?" Daddy comes back with Roo and Lumpy (my suggestions) AND Tigger and Pooh! Then he has a bag of clothes from a sale for the boys (Gramma was carrying a bag, too). And to top it off, they stopped an Best Buy for some Wii accessories!!!! The boys were in seventh heaven! I'm scared for Easter!!!!

Wrapping up January

OK - so my goal of weekly blogging hasn't been met yet, but I have faith - February is a new month!
Fun news this month for Adam, he has mastered tying his shoe laces! Papa and Grandma Eloe came for a visit in January and he and Papa worked hard on how to do it. When Adam decides he wants to figure something out, there is nothing stopping him! I can't believe how fast he is already. Now he doesn't want to wear any thing that velcros so we bought him a new pair of tennis shoes. He is continuing to beat me on many of the Wii games, especially baseball and boxing! And he and his daddy have been working on this throwing a catching skills with a baseball and glove. Travis mentioned that Adam needed to oil and shape his glove and they did that over the weekend - I should have taken a picture.
He is writing his letters in preschool and is getting better and better.
Alex is talking more and more. He really makes us laugh. He doesn't want to nap but still needs it so I'm laying down with him (poor me!). I figure our napping days are almost over so why not. He loves to say, "Mommies bed?" as we are walking the stairs. I tell him, "no, Alex's bed" and we go back and forth a few times. Saturday I said, "we need to sleep in Alex's bed with all of your friends", meaning his stuffed animals. (The animals are two Winnie the Pooh's, Eeore, Mickey, Elmo and a few others. He lays with them all around him and sometimes on top of him!) I went into my bathroom and when I came out he was in the process of carrying all of animals to our bed - all of them! I laughed and gave up because it was too darned cute! When he wakes up from his nap, he is very upset to find that I'm not in his bed. So he calls out to me from upstairs and when I come to him he says "Mommy, you whay down!" I chuckle every time!
Travis extremely busy with work, but still so happy with his job. I'm just here doing my same old thing.
Look for another post in a few days!!!!!
